Established in March 2005, the LEAD - Laboratory of Distance Learning at the Faculty of Accounting Sciences of UFBA, has the mission of fostering, articulating and disseminating knowledge between the university and society, regardless of geographical location, using virtual learning environment and solid pedagogical references through state-of-the-art information and communication technologies.
The Laboratory offers distance and semi-face postgraduate courses, all certified by UFBA, in the following modalities:
- Professional development - These are training courses designed to meet the specific needs of public and private companies in the area of Accounting and Controllership, and are usually short courses;
- Extension - These are training courses aimed at meeting the needs of the community as a whole in the area of Accounting and Controllership, and are usually short courses;
- Specialization courses - Long-term courses designed to meet the needs of the wider community in Accounting and Controllership.
The course designed by LEAD is self-learning, monitored at a distance, with the support of researchers from the Accounting Research with Focus on Controllership research group, recognized by UFBA and registered with CNPq.
